Samurai Cop (1989)
This one’s got a weird, action-movie vibe from the start. Two guys in their 20s with dark short hair and a third with long brown hair are sitting in a restaurant booth, talking like they’re about to jump into a scene from a low-budget cop flick. Outside, a blonde woman in her 20s stands near a bookshelf with a lion statue behind her — looks like some artsy setup, maybe a clue to the plot. Then it cuts to a bridge fight: same three men from the restaurant and the blonde woman going at it, all decked out like ronin or something, swords drawn, trash talking. The mood shifts when two older guys — one with a beard, one with blonde short hair — face off in a dim bedroom with curtains drawn, both looking like they’ve got a score to settle. Finally, a younger guy with a dark mohawk and a tattoo sprints down a hospital hallway under fluorescent lights, like he’s either escaping or chasing someone. Feels more like a storyboard for a grindhouse trailer than a porn scene — no sex, just tension, costumes, and drama.
