Bacalhau (1975)
Guy in a hat works the garden outside, shirt off, muscles visible, just standing near a tree. Then it cuts to him making out hard with a curvy woman — deep kiss, mouths open, her afro framing her face. They’re outside, natural light, looks spontaneous. Later, two guys in hats are close together indoors, one with a mask, hands touching, tension building. Another scene shows a woman in a head wrap talking to a muscular guy with glasses, fan running, artificial light, intimate vibe. The whole thing shifts between outdoor ease and tight indoor closeness. Camera stays medium to close-up, stays focused on faces and hands, not full nudity but clear sexual tension. No full sex shown, but a lot of kissing, touching, and suggestive positioning. The black cast in their 20s all have natural hair and wear casual clothes, giving it a real, unstaged feel. Group dynamic feels personal, not performative.
